The project has three components: A science & research building, an energy /utilities centre, and the repurposing of the existing University Hall. The 377,000 square foot science & research building will be a place for community engagement and outreach; a place with innovation laboratories where undergraduate and graduate research opportunities develop; where knowledge moves from the lab to industry; a place that fosters the next generation of researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders. As of February 2018, the project was just over 50% complete.
