The Father Lacombe Care Centre Redevelopment project in Calgary will replace the aging long-term care facility with a modern, purpose-built centre offering 140 beds, including 26 new spaces for seniors with complex care needs. The new building will feature a home-like environment, specialized care areas, increased accessibility, and community amenities such as gathering spaces, a chapel, and a family care village. Supported by Alberta Health and philanthropic partners, construction is expected to begin in fall 2025 to better serve residents and meet current health standards.
