The Life Sciences Research Centre will provide critical new space for the programming of life and environmental sciences research, along with existing and planned expansion of teaching and research spaces currently housed within the Science A complex. The project consists of the development of an innovative new building on campus of approximately 34,300 square metres to meet modern expectations for technology-rich, specialized research and support spaces required for the current and future programming for our life and environmental sciences curriculum in the Faculties of Science, Arts and Kinesiology. Of the 34,300 square metres, approximately 19,600 are to be fitted out with the remaining 14,700 square metres being left as shell space.
