Phased construction of a 360 Mw solar farm located west of Brooks, in Newell County know as Brooks Solar Farm (Beargrass Solar).

The proponent has filed an application with the Alberta Utilities Commission in April 2021. After a review by the Brooks County Municipal Planning Commission in August 2022, a section of the farm was removed due to potential wildlife impacts, reducing capacity from 400 Mw to 360 Mw.
