The project will see water flow from an upper lake to a lower lake, generating 75 MW of power. In the evening when power demand is lower, a pipeline will transport the water to the upper lake, 500m above the lower lake in a continuous loop. The development could be expanded in the future to accommodate 400 MW of power generation. Emissions Reduction Alberta has committed $15M in funding for the project.
