Rocky Mountain Clean Fuels is building a small-scale plant to produce synthetic diesel and jet fuel using patented technology. Their Carseland facility, located 50 km east of Calgary, can produce 20 million liters of fuel annually, with plans to scale up to 300+ million liters per year. The facility integrates renewable Bio-Syngas and hydrogen production while emphasizing water and waste-heat recovery for sustainability. The proponent aims to provide cost-effective, clean fuels to regional and international markets while supporting rural and Indigenous economic development. 
The Government of Alberta is providing $20.78 million in funding from the Alberta Petrochemical Incentive Program (APIP).
