The project will create a new 240 kV transmission line between 35-47 km long connection to a new substation called the Chapel Rock Substation to the Goose Lake Substation or the Castle Rock Substation. The Chapel Rock Substation will connect the new transmission line with the existing 1201L transmission line, which is the AB/BC intertie. Some modifications may be required to the 500 kV structures/line for connection. The exact location of the route is TBD.
