According to the City of Edmonton, the Commonwealth Stadium and Field House Artificial Turf Renewal project will remove existing artificial turf at Commonwealth Stadium and in the fieldhouse at adjascent Recreation Centre and replace it with new turf. Drainage improvements will also be part of this project.

Turf installation in the Fieldhouse is scheduled for fall 2025 - Construction and turf installation in the stadium will take place from December 2025 to the end of May 2026.
