The Express-Platte Pipeline System, a key conduit for Canadian crude oil exports to U.S. refineries, is undergoing a 30,000 barrels per day (bpd) capacity expansion in 2025. Owned by Enbridge Inc., this project aims to increase the system’s capacity from 310,000 bpd to 340,000 bpd by 2026, enhancing Alberta’s export capabilities amid growing demand for Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) crude.
