This is an approved Government of Alberta capital project.

The project will see 10 kilometers of Highway 651 repaved near Legal, between 4 kilometers east of Highway 2 and 5 kilometres west of Highway 803. Additionally, the project will see intersection improvements build at Highway 28 and Highway 63/Secondary Highway 829. The project also includes 20 km of repaving.
