Home Depot Canada will open its newest and northernmost store in Fort McMurray, Alberta, in spring 2026, marking its 28th store in Alberta.

The 80,000-square-foot store will be located on Quarry Ridge Drive and will create approximately 150 new jobs in the community. This expansion brings Home Depot’s Alberta workforce to over 5,350.

The project was announced and construction began in June 2025.
