The Northwest Inner City Community Drainage Improvement Project (formerly known as the Calgary Upper Plateau Separation Stormwater Trunk project) will help reduce river flood risk complications caused by stormwater flow in the communities of Hillhurst/Sunnyside. The project will specifically target the Upper Plateau stormwater that currently flows in the lower plateau.

Funding for the project was announced on October 26, 2020.
