Construction of a 75 MW solar power facility located within Medicine Hat, known as the Saamis Solar Farm. The municipality announced funding for the project in February 2026.

The project was sold from DP Energy to the City of Medicine Hat in early 2025. The project was previously proposed at 325 MW based on regulatory filings.
