The Central Peace Regional Water Project is a collaborative initiative by Saddle Hills County and four partner municipalities (Birch Hills County, MD of Spirit River, Town of Spirit River, and Village of Rycroft) to construct a raw water intake on the Peace River, pumping station, and 36 km of pipeline to deliver a reliable potable water supply to residents, businesses, and industry in Alberta's Central Peace Region.

The project has received multiple Water for Life grants from the Government of Alberta supporting the project.
