To support increased electrical capacity and distribution while addressing operational and safety risks, Alberta government funding supports upgrade to the Garneau Substation, and expanding the electrical feeder cable from the Garneau substation to the Greater Campus Area substation.The Government of Alberta is providing $29.5M in funding for the project.
