According to the City of Calgary, the Walden Fire Station and Library at 969 Walden Drive SE is a new multi-use facility enhancing southeast Calgary’s community services. The project features a two-bay permanent fire station and a 10,000 sq. ft. library, replacing the existing temporary fire station on the site. This project addresses increased demand for both emergency services and community resources in the rapidly growing SE communities.
