This is an approved Government of Alberta capital project.

Construction of a new interchange on the south end of Airdrie, located at 40th Avenue crossing over Highway 2. Additionally, there will be new bridges built over the CP Rail overpass, Main Street, and Nose Creek.

Construction was completed in 2023. The Government of Alberta has provided $29.1 million in funding for the project.
