Entos Pharmaceuticals is planning a 103,000-square-foot R&D and biomanufacturing facility in Edmonton. The facility will focus on developing and producing next-generation genetic medicines, strengthening Edmonton’s position as a leader in biotechnology and advanced therapeutics.
The Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Industry, announced a contribution of $62 million to support Entos Pharmaceuticals’ (Entos) $198.5 million project through the Strategic Innovation Fund. Additionally, Entos received a $15.5 million grant from the Government of Alberta’s Vaccine Manufacturing Program to support the province’s innovation and technology strategy. Of that $15.5 million grant, $7.6 million will be used toward this project.
