The Hand Hills Battery is a utility-scale battery energy storage project developed by BluEarth Renewables, co-located with the Hand Hills Wind Facility near Delia, Alberta—about 11 km from Delia and 23 km southwest of Hanna. The battery system is designed for a capacity of 10 MW / 20 MWh and will use six Sungrow PowerTitan 2.0 lithium iron phosphate storage containers, connecting directly to Alberta’s transmission system via the Highland 572S Substation.
